The BPI has
launched a new scheme which will award 10 apprenticeships in the music
industry.
The scheme,
which will be funded by money raised by the BRIT Awards, will give 10
applicants an opportunity to work as an apprentice in various parts of the
music industry, with labels like PIAS and Kudos Records among those who will
provide placements.
The BRITs
Apprentice Scheme will start in January 2018 and last 14 months up to the end
of February 2019, with the successful applicants also working at the BRIT
Awards themselves as part of the experience.
The scheme
will be open to anyone aged 18 and over. As part of the project, successful
applicants will also receive specialist training in either business
administration or digital marketing.
